Program Requirements
If you meet the criteria listed below, learn how to apply.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a regionally accredited institution. A master’s degree is preferred, but not required, for applicants to the PhD program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA for the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework
- International students: one of the below English proficiency examinations. The minimum scores acceptable for admission are:

If you are applying to the Ph.D. in Epidemiology and are a US citizen or permanent resident, consider also applying to one or both of our training programs as fits your research interests.
Applicants who would like to be considered for funding from any of the Department’s training grants are encouraged to apply by November 15th.

Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition and fees are charged per credit hour each semester. A full-time course load during fall and spring is 9 credits, while during summer it’s 6 credits. Learn more about our program tuition, tuition assistance and financial aid.
International Applicants
Incoming international students will work with an advisor from the University of Florida International Center (UFIC) to submit and process the necessary paperwork for studying in the United States.
