Curriculum
The M.S. in Biostatistics program requires a minimum of 36 post-baccalaureate credit hours and is suitable for students with a strong mathematics background, requiring at least three semesters of calculus and a semester of linear algebra, plus training in statistics and probability. Most students complete the program within two years, earning an M.S. degree with a concentration of their choice:

Biostatistical Methods and Practice
This track provides a strong theoretical foundation and a broad understanding of biostatistical methods, including courses in biostatistical theory, survival analysis, and clinical trials.
Health Data Science
This track focuses on methodological and computational aspects of data science in public health. Courses cover advanced topics like modern computing, machine learning, and data visualization techniques applied to health sciences.

Admissions
Eligible applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, biology, biomedical science, or other related fields.
Applicants to our program can apply for Spring or Fall admission.
- Fall Semester Admission: The application deadline for admission of Fall semesters is March 15.
- Spring Semester Admission: The application deadline for admission of Spring semester is December 1.
