Health Science graduation requirements

To earn a Bachelor of Health Science with a major in Health Science, students must:

  • Complete all Health Science core and specialization courses with grades of C or higher
  • Earn 120 credits, 60 of which are completed at UF
  • Complete the Health Science major Capstone Exam in the final semester
  • Complete the Health Science major Exit Survey in the final semester

Capstone Exam

  • The capstone exam consists of 40 multiple choice questions
  • A minimum score of 70% (or 28 correct answers) is needed to pass
  • The exam will be comprised of content from junior and senior year Health Science courses, specifically PHC4101, HSA3111, HSC3502, HSC3057, OTH3416, and HSC3661
  • Remediation is available for students who do not pass the exam on their first attempt

Exit Survey

The exit survey should take about 15 minutes complete. It’s an opportunity for students to evaluate the program: the curriculum as a whole, individual courses, program personnel, and their overall experience in the Health Science major. The exit survey also captures where our students are in the graduate/professional school application process.
