Applying for a Minor at PHHP

The College of Public Health and Health Professions offers four undergraduate minors: Communication Sciences & Disorders, Deaf & Hearing Sciences, Public Health, and Health Administration. Students will be informed of decisions within one month of the application.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a minor, students must meet the minimum credit requirement, overall and prerequisite GPA requirement, and complete all prerequisite coursework (have a letter grade, a satisfactory grade, or AP/IB test credit) prior to applying for a PHHP minor. Course equivalents from state and community colleges are acceptable substitutes for minor prerequisite courses. If any prerequisite coursework is not completed when an application is reviewed, the minor application will be denied and you will be required to resubmit a new minor application once all prerequisite coursework has been completed. How to Apply

Students apply to a minor through One.UF. Your home college will approve your request, if eligible, and your application will then be reviewed by PHHP. We encourage you to be patient through this process as our goal is to ensure students seats in desired coursework throughout your minor experience.
