The Health Professions minor provides foundational knowledge and skills in the changing healthcare delivery system. This 15-credit minor provides complementary courses for pre-clinical students who wish to complete graduate or professional programs for careers in medicine, physician assistant studies, dentistry, pharmacy, and other health professions.
Prerequisites
Completion of prerequisite courses does not guarantee admission to the minor.
- Junior status or higher (60+ credits)
- A 3.0 overall UF GPA and a 3.0 prerequisite GPA in:
- PSY2012 General Psychology
- BSC2010 Integrated Principles of Biology 1
- APK2105C Applied Human Physiology with Laboratory
- STA2023 Introduction to Statistics 1
The minor is open to all students who meet the prerequisites, except for Health Science majors in the Preprofessional specialization. Health Science majors in the Pre-Rehabilitation specialization can substitute BSC 2005 for the BSC 2010 prerequisite requirement. Students will only be considered for the minor if all prerequisites are complete prior to applying.

How to apply
