RESEARCH SPOTLIGHT

NCI recognizes Dr. Lusine Yaghjyan’s breast cancer research

Dr. Yaghjyan’s study was selected as a 2025 Research Highlight by the National Cancer Institute’s Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program. The research explores how age-related changes in breast tissue and stem cell markers may influence early breast cancer development. The findings advance understanding of breast cancer risk and may inform future prevention strategies.
