Value-based Care Certificate
graduate certificate

The Value-based Care certificate prepares professionals and graduate-level students to understand how value-based care aims to improve patient outcomes and the health of the population while controlling costs.

Overview

Delivered in an online format, the certificate emphasizes population health, data analytics, financial performance, and leadership strategies that align care delivery with quality and cost outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.

This certificate enhances the capabilities of professionals in health administration, public health, and clinical practice by providing them with the tools to apply data analytics to develop and evaluate value-based healthcare delivery models. Through a combination of foundational and applied coursework, students acquire the analytical, managerial and technological skills necessary to assess financial and quality performance to enhance organizational effectiveness and sustainability under value-based reimbursement systems.

The Value-based Care graduate certificate must be completed in two academic semesters. A new cohort begins every Spring semester.

Coursework completed in this certificate may be eligible for transfer into the Weekend Hybrid M.H.A. program within the College of Public Health and Health Professions.  Only graduate-level (5000-7999) work with a grade of B or better is eligible for transfer of credit.
