Title: The Startle evoked potential: A brain measure of pathology severity in the anxiety & mood disorders |
Speaker: Peter J. Lang, Ph.D. |
Summary: Findings are presented from a large RDoC study-sample of patients afflicted with anxiety/mood disorders, assessing differences among principal DSM diagnoses, co-morbidity patterns, clinicians ratings, and questionnaire measures of negative affect and life dysfunction–as these patient data relate to a novel, potential brain-marker of pathology: The event-related potential (ERP) elicited by a startle-evoking stimulus. |
