It’s that time of year – National Public Health Week! The UF Public Health Student Association has planned a fun-filled week to educate students and the public about the contributions of public health to our communities. This year’s theme is “Public Health is ROI: Save Lives, Save Money.”

Monday: Protecting You While You’re on the Move

Screening of documentary “How to Survive a Plague”

4 to 6 p.m. in HPNP Complex, room G101

Tuesday: Providing a Safe Environment for Children at School

Presentation on “Overcoming Bullying and Raising Self Esteem” (female participants only)

4 to 6 p.m. at Girls Place, 2101 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville

Wednesday: Ensuring a Healthy Home for Your Family

Volunteering with St. Francis House (in conjunction with Delta Omega)

3 to 6 p.m. at 413 S. Main Street, Gainesville

Thursday: Creating a Healthy Workplace

Seminar “Cultural Competence and Emotional Health in the Workplace”
