The first PHHP Family Picnic was held at UF’s Lake Wauburg on Friday, November 9. Faculty and staff spent the afternoon with their families enjoying good food and plenty of activities. Most picnic goers took advantage of the paddle boats, kayaks and canoes that are available at the lake. Some tried all three! Others played football, badminton, or soccer, and the kids took full advantage of a massive pile of sand.
A barbeque lunch was served in the Cypress Lodge, which offers a beautiful view of the lake from its wide front porch. It was a splendid afternoon with plenty of sun and pleasant temperatures, and at least one young guest was very reluctant to leave as the afternoon came to a close. The college looks forward to making this an annual event.
