About Linda Struckmeyer
Linda R. Struckmeyer, PhD, OTR/L is a clinical associate professor a in the Occupational Therapy Department, College of Public Health and Health Professions, University of Florida. Dr. Struckmeyer has over 30 years of clinical occupational therapy practice working with individuals across the life span in a wide variety of settings. As an educator, Dr. Struckmeyer has served as a course instructor, a PhD and OTD mentor. From 2013 – 2019 she was the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the MOT program. From 2019- 2025 she was the founding Doctoral Capstone Coordinator for the OTD program. Dr. Struckmeyer has research experience as an interventionist on a study with Veterans with dementia in their homes and as PI on examining the validity and reliability of a home environmental assessment for persons with dementia and their caregivers. As a result of her expertise working with clients in the home she was invited to serve as a co-principal investigator on HUD project Re-envision. Most recently she is the project coordinator for a state of Florida Child Passenger Safety grant, co PI on the Tinker-FUN project, and a member of the Home Smart Technology grant.
