About Michael J Hodges
Hi, I am Michael Hodges, a physical therapist at UF Health. I earned my bachelor of health science in physical therapy from the University of Florida, followed by a master of health science in physical therapy from the same institution. Eager to enhance my expertise, I pursued a transitional doctor of physical therapy at Florida Gulf Coast University.
My dedication to excellence is underscored by my board certification in orthopaedics by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). My clinical focus spans a range of specialties, including spine care, post-operative conditions, total joint rehabilitation, geriatrics and physical deconditioning.
My journey into physical therapy was sparked by a personal experience—I sustained a knee injury while playing football in high school. Motivated by my own rehabilitation, I developed a keen interest in studying physical therapy to assist others in their recovery from injury and illness. As a physical therapist, my approach centers on attentive listening and tailoring rehabilitation programs to align with the unique goals of each patient. I prioritize creating feasible and effective plans that yield optimal outcomes in an efficient manner.
