About Robert L Cook

Robert Cook, MD, MPH, is a professor within the department of epidemiology, and he also serves as a physician at UF Health Internal Medicine – Medical Plaza. Dr. Cook received both his master’s of public health degree and medical degree from the University of North Carolina. He completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the University of Virginia. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Cook did additional training in preventive medicine and completed the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. Dr. Cook has been at the University of Florida since 2006, combining clinical practice with research and teaching. He is the director of the Southern HIV and Alcohol Research Consortium (SHARC) and the Associate Director for the Consortium for Medical Marijuana Clinical outcomes research.
