Information for faculty

We are here to help you promote your work across various college communications as well as with the news media. Several opportunities are available.

UF Experts Center

This online resource is designed to connect faculty with journalists, conference organizers and other external audiences seeking context, insight or commentary.

Media training

For consultation on specific media requests or to receive one-on-one media training, please contact Jill Pease, PHHP communications director, at jpease@phhp.ufl.edu.

Please notify Jill Pease if you are interviewed by a media outlet so that we can track results.

UF Research Promotion Initiative

The Research Promotion Initiative aims to connect faculty research to UF’s Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing for potential promotion to media organizations as well as university-based communications.

To maximize the chances of earning coverage in national and international news outlets, all submissions must have been accepted but not yet published in order to qualify for this initiative. Staff will work with researchers to ensure that any embargoes are honored. Authors of papers selected for promotion will receive $1,000, which can be used on research-related activities, such as travel, books and supplies.
