PHHP DEAN'S AMBASSADOR
Aimee Miller
Doctor of Audiology
What is your degree program?
I am in the Doctor of Audiology program.
What are your career goals?
I chose to pursue audiology after becoming single-sided deaf and losing my right balance system due to a large brain tumor in 2020. My healthcare experience lacked empathy and patient-centered care, so I wanted to merge my prior career paths as an educator and counselor to create the standard of care I wished I had and serve as an advocate for accessibility. I plan to teach at a university and maintain a clinical practice.
What have been your favorite experiences in the dean’s ambassador program so far?
My favorite experience so far was the Alumni Tailgate! It was a fantastic event filled with food, fun, football, dancing, and celebrating distinguished alums. I also enjoyed creating a video about hearing protection at football games. It was exciting to share something I’m passionate about (hearing conservation) with the UF community.
What would you tell a fellow student interested in applying for the dean’s ambassador program?
I would enthusiastically shout, “APPLY!” You won’t regret the opportunity to meet exciting people, represent our college, and rock a fancy name tag.
Tell us a little-known fact about you.
A little-known fact about me is that I have a misspelled tattoo. It was supposed to say “attitude of gratitude.” Instead, gratitude was spelled with an extra “t.” I tell people I’m extra grateful.

Madisen Domayer
Bachelor of Health Science
What is your degree program and hometown?
I am pursuing a degree in Health Science with a minor in Chemistry. I am also a part of the Honors Program of PHHP. My hometown is Daytona Beach!
What are your career goals?
After graduating college, I want to attend graduate school to become a Physician Associate. I want to specialize in the field of pediatric orthopedics. Additionally, I want to develop a medical care program where care is brought into the community, rather than the community members coming to receive care. This would involve creating a system to ensure key areas within the county are reached and quality care is delivered. This care would include preventive measures, along with blood pressure screenings and mobile EKGs when applicable.
What has been your most interesting experience with the dean’s ambassador program so far?
So far, I have loved getting to plan different events for students and faculty to participate in and work alongside my fellow ambassadors. I have also loved getting to pitch new ideas for the college and then seeing them put into action!
How do you hope the dean’s ambassadors program will help you prepare for your career or education?
I hope the dean’s ambassador program will enhance my leadership skills and ability to work in a team setting. These are skills that I will use daily in my future career, and I want to develop further. I also hope to learn how to host and plan events for others to enjoy and impact those around me!
What are your hobbies outside of school or work?
Outside of school I love volunteering and giving back to others. I also love being outdoors and exploring different outdoor areas around us. Painting, cooking, baking, reading, and being a dog mom are some of my other hobbies!

I am a Health Science Major from Orlando, FL!
What are your career goals?
I hope to get my Doctor of Occupational Therapy and be a Pediatric Occupational Therapist!
What has been your most interesting experience with the dean’s ambassador program so far?
My most interesting experience with the dean’s ambassador program so far has been the Gator Gallery fundraiser. We set up foam gator targets and held a nerf gun competition between the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Nursing to see who could raise the most money for UF’s Campaign for Charities! There were cupcakes, popsicles, prizes, a leader board, and lots of competition and laughter!
How do you hope the dean’s ambassadors program will help you prepare for your career or education?
The dean’s ambassadors program has provided me with a network of support and resources academically and professionally. Being a dean’s ambassador provides me with the opportunity to get to know PHHP staff, faculty and students more in depth and give back to the UF community as a whole.
What was the destination of your last vacation?
I studied abroad in Europe this summer and loved every minute of it! I went to London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Florence and Rome. I hope to continue my love of traveling throughout my life and go back to Europe next summer before grad school!

Casey Glymph
Bachelor of Public Health
What is your degree program and hometown?
I am currently a junior in the Bachelor of Public Health program and my hometown is Pembroke Pines, Florida.
What are your career goals?
My goal is to combine my love for public health with the law. I hope to attend law school after completing my bachelor’s. As an attorney, I would like to learn about how corporations interact with the health care sector. Furthermore, I also would love to learn about the development and patenting of medical devices and technology that are helping to change the way in which we offer care to individuals. Many people often wonder why I chose public health, knowing I wanted to be an attorney. I truly believe that the public health program has more than prepared me for my future endeavors. I have been able to study people, policy, and how we can change the narrative to better serve people. Helping people and changing policy is exactly what I hope to do in my future career. My goal is to change the narrative of healthcare delivery through the legal field.
What are your impressions of the dean’s ambassador program so far?
My initial impressions of the dean’s ambassador program are nothing short of gratifying. I am a proud Gator, but I am even more proud to be a student in this college. Being able to represent my peers and my college has been such an amazing experience thus far. I also have enjoyed the opportunity to connect with my fellow ambassadors. I have met many people that are interested in pursuing similar careers to me. It shows me that diversity within our career paths is well represented within our college and student body.
How do you hope the dean’s ambassadors program will help you prepare for your career or education?
I hope that this program will prepare me to further my desire to be a leader and to proudly represent the organizations and institutions that I am a member of. Furthermore, building meaningful connections with faculty will help to further my support system as I pursue my education.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
One of the life goals that I still have hopes of achieving would be training and running a marathon. Between my busy schedule as a student and just a young woman in my twenties, my time is definitely split between a lot of my roles. However, I would love to be able to seriously put in the time and energy to train for a marathon and run them quite frequently.
