BHS Program Information for Current UF Students

The prerequisites below represent the requirements for the updated Health Science curriculum. You can contact an academic advisor (advising@phhp.ufl.edu) if you would like to opt-in to the updated curriculum. Read more about the new curriculum.

Minimum application requirements:

  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
  • Minimum 3.0 prerequisite GPA, with a “C” or better in all critical tracking courses
  • 60 credit hours by the end of your sophomore year

Required critical tracking courses:

  • Biology (BSC1010 or BSC2010 and lab*
  • General Psychology (PSY2012)
  • Statistics 1 (STA2023)
  • Applied Physiology (BSC2085 and BSC2086 with labs OR BSC2093 and BSC2094 with labs)**

* Pre-Rehabilitation specialization students are permitted to complete BSC1005/BSC2005 and lab, but BSC1010/BSC1010 is strongly recommended.
** Students applying to the Preprofessional specialization can complete CHM1045/CHM2045 in place of the Applied Physiology requirement.

Students must be on track to change into the Health Science major.
