UF Commencement Ceremonies General Information
PhD and doctoral level professional students will be recognized by name as they cross the stage at the University-wide Doctoral Commencement.
Graduates are welcome to attend and be recognized at the Health Science Center Recognition Ceremony as well.

All bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s degrees will be conferred at this ceremony; individual degree candidates will not be recognized. College of Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health and Health Professions students will be individually recognized at the Health Science Center Recognition Ceremony.

Health Science Center Recognition Ceremony Event Information
Friday, Dec. 14, 7:30 p.m. in the University Auditorium
Reception to follow at the end of the ceremony.
RSVP deadline is November 30, 2018.
Will my name be called as I walk across the stage?
Yes! All College of Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health and Health Professions bachelor’s and master’s candidates will be recognized by name as they cross the stage at the Health Science Center Recognition Ceremony. Doctoral candidates who are in attendance will also be individually recognized but will not be hooded given the hooding ceremony takes place at the UF-wide commencement. Students from the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine are also welcome to attend. Graduating students in attendance from these colleges will also be individually recognized.
What should I wear?
Students should wear academic regalia to the Health Science Center Recognition Ceremony. Students should arrive stage ready (dressed in full regalia and ready to walk on stage).
Where do I get a name card and do I bring it to the ceremony?
Students will receive name cards at the Bookstore when picking up regalia. Please bring your name card to the Health Science Center Recognition Ceremony.
Do I need tickets to attend the ceremony? How many guests can I bring?
No tickets are required for the Health Science Center Recognition Ceremony. However due to the limited amount of seating available in the University Auditorium, students will be allowed a maximum of ten guests at the ceremony. There is no limit to the number of guests an individual student may bring to the University Wide ceremonies.
Where do I go once I get to the University Auditorium?
Marshals and staff will be on site to guide students and guests to the appropriate areas.
Where do I park?
While there is no parking at the venue, there is nearby event parking available.
