The G. Paul Moore Symposium at the University of Florida is in honor of Dr. G. Paul Moore, Distinguished Professor Emeritus and renowned scholar in the field of Communication Sciences Disorders. The G. Paul Moore Symposium is organized annually as a tribute to Dr. Moore’s outstanding contributions in the fields of audiology and speech language pathology by our host, the University of Florida Chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) under the direction of Chapter Advisor Dr. Sharon M. DiFino, PhD, CCC-SLP.

Speaker Bios
Dr. John C. Rosenbek
Dr. Rosenbek graduated from the University of Colorado in 1970 with a PhD in Speech-Language Pathology. He spent five years on the University faculty as teacher, clinical supervisor and clinician. Then, spent the next 25 at the VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin as Chief of Service, researcher, and clinician. He ended his career at the University of Florida after serving as a professor and chairman of the College of Public Health and Health Professions’ department of communicative disorders. He now holds Professor Emeritus status at UF. He states, “all parts of my 44-year career were interesting and challenging, but the portion I always liked the best was clinical practice. Most of that practice was with neurologic deficits in adults. I always said I would not retire until I got it right every time I stepped into the clinic; turns out I ran out of time.”

Dr. Jagadish Swamy
Dr. Swamy is a Board Certified Audiologist and earned his Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in 2002. He also studied audiology in India and earned a Masters’ degree in Speech and Hearing, and a Master’s degree in Linguistics. Dr. Swamy is very compassionate about helping his patients with their hearing health care needs and has been practicing audiology for over 20 years. His area of expertise and specialty has been in the diagnosis of hearing loss, providing state-of-art hearing instrument technology to his patients, Assistive Listening Devices, helping patients with their tinnitus and tinnitus management, hearing conservation & protection and also providing solutions to patients who are exposed to loud noise. He is also passionate about educating his patients and the community about hearing loss and ways to overcome the negative effect of hearing impairment. Dr. Swamy has the expertise to ensure that you receive proper treatment keeping in mind your lifestyle, hearing and budget. In his spare time, Dr. Swamy loves to spend time with his family, loves to play “Tabla”, the Indian hand drums and photography.

In Order to Get a Certificate of Completion, Learners Must:
- Attend the entirety of each day you are intending to receive credit for. Partial credit within a day will not be available.
- Successful completion of the Self Assessment within 7 days of the program.
Is partial credit available?
Yes, half credit can be earned by attending 1 day, and full credit for attending both days.
Are they submitted automatically or do I need to submit a certificate?
If you practice in Florida and attended the seminar, we will submit your license to CE Broker for you to receive credit.
CEUs and certificates can only be provided to those attending in-person or the live webinar.
Do I need to submit a survey or post-seminar assessment to receive credit?
A self-assessment/reflection will be required to earn credit.
How long should it take for me to see my credit in CE Broker?
Please allow 1-2 weeks before inquiring about CEU credit. On weeks when there is a holiday, please allow up to 3 weeks for us to submit licenses into CE Broker.
