Why did you decide to join your program?

UF is a renowned leader in One Health research and education. I wanted to be in a program where I could learn from diverse, highly skilled faculty while remaining closely tied with the Northeast Florida community.

What have been some of your favorite moments in your program?

As someone newly admitted to the program, I am most excited for the Capstone experience.

What do you plan to do with your degree?

I hope to pursue a Ph.D. following my graduation and then promote One Health-based zoonotic and vector-borne disease education. My goal is to reduce the prevalence and spread of zoonotic disease by increasing awareness and implementing interdisciplinary prevention methods.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy my family (including a whole zoo of pets). I also enjoy gardening and reading.

What would you like to share with others who may be considering the same program?

This program has multiple opportunities for full-time working students, including on campus or online offerings. This makes high-quality One Health education much more easily accessible. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and they are always there if you have questions.
