Roselyn Delase Davour, PhD Student

Meet: Roselyn Delase Davour 

Program: Public Health, Ph.D., Environmental Health concentration

Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Ghana

Research Interests: I aspire to conduct research aimed at developing and implementing sustainable policies and business solutions in the areas of environmental health, climate health and nutrition.

Why did you choose the University of Florida?

I chose to study at the University of Florida because it is one of the best schools and provides students with abundant academic and career resources for success.

What philosophy guides you in your education?

The purpose of education is not to make you a master of your books but a master of your life. 

What is your research experience?

My research has focused on nutrition among populations such as adolescents, people living with diabetes and HIV-exposed infants in Ghana.

If you could solve one environmental and/or global health problem, what would it be?

The health effects of climate change and plastic pollution, especially among marginalized populations.

What are your career goals?

My goal is to become an Environmental health scientist.
