The University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions honored more than 550 undergraduate, master’s, Ph.D. and professional graduates at university, college, department and program ceremonies held at the end of the spring semester.
At the college’s spring recognition ceremony held May 1 at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, graduates were individually recognized as they crossed the stage to thunderous applause. Distinguished speaker Mark Bishop, Ph.D., P.T., a professor in the UF PHHP Department of Physical Therapy and director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, encouraged graduates to embrace and lead change in their professions, serve with compassion and define their own measure of success.
“Class of 2025, you are walking out of these doors into a world that is changing fast, but you are ready,” Bishop said at the close of his remarks. “You are trained in the science. Grounded in the real world. And filled, I hope, with the fire to make a difference. Don’t be afraid of change. Be the reason it happens.”
