Companies led by four College of Public Health and Health Professions alumni are among the University of Florida Alumni Association’s 2025 Gator100 honorees. The Gator100 program annually recognizes the world’s fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UF alumni.
Meet PHHP’s 2025 Gator100 alumni business leaders Ryan Cave, Terrance McGowan, Megan Molyneux and Chris Simms.

Ryan Cave, master’s in health administration ’99, is the president of Sunbelt Business Brokers of South Florida and one of Florida’s most accomplished business intermediaries, with hundreds of millions in closed transactions. A triple Gator, he also earned his bachelor’s and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Florida and holds certifications as a business intermediary, mergers and acquisitions professional, and mergers and acquisitions intermediary, a rare combination in the field. He leads a team of brokers across Sunbelt’s South Florida offices, serves as vice chairman of the Business Brokers of Florida, and teaches nationally for the International Business Brokers Association.
“I’ve been in business brokerage for nearly two decades, and the work can be intense and unpredictable, but also rewarding,” Cave said. “Being named to the Gator100 again gives me a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come. It also reminded me that success doesn’t happen overnight or in isolation. I’m proud of the team we’ve built and grateful to be recognized alongside other UF alumni.”

Terrance McGowan, master’s in health administration ’13, is a co-founder and the CEO of Welltality. He was the first employee of Welltality and was initially responsible for business development and developing the company’s service model. He became the Welltality COO in 2016 and was responsible for customer service, implementations, payroll, call center operations and product development. In his time as COO, he led Welltality from a stand-alone annual wellness visit technology to a provider of comprehensive annual wellness visit services, completing 100,000 annual wellness visits to date. In March 2020, he was promoted to Welltality CEO.
“As an entrepreneur, every day presents new and sometimes unexpected challenges and puzzles to solve,” McGowan said. “Perhaps the thing I was most naive to is the amount of time, energy and focus it takes to build a successful business. You hear successful business owners say this but there is nothing like living the experience.”

Megan Molyneux, bachelor’s in health science ’04 and master’s in occupational therapy ’05, is the president and CEO of Florida Contract Automated Shading, a Gator business run by a husband and wife team. Florida Contract Automated Shading specializes in commercial window coverings. Their expertise is in whole building automation with electric shades controlled through third party automation and having the shades move in accordance with the sun. They work closely with homeowners, designers, builders, architects and home automation companies. This is Molyneux’s fourth time on the Gator100 list.
“Living in this town for the past 25 years and experiencing life as a Gator — from college student and athlete to working for the University of Florida and UF Health — owning and operating a company that has continuously ranked as a top Gator100 company is a true privilege,” Molyneux said. “It’s a prestigious title that has helped me network throughout the state of Florida in my industry.”

Chris Simms, doctorate in physical therapy ’08, is the founder and owner of Choice Rehab Connections, a company he launched in 2016 with the vision of creating a streamlined, supportive platform to transform how home health agencies and therapists connect — making the process more efficient, collaborative and patient-centered. The company has grown rapidly, now partnering with more than 30 home health agencies and employing a network of more than 100 therapists across Florida. He remains passionate about elevating standards in the industry while mentoring the next generation of health care entrepreneurs.
“Since our last appearance on the Gator100, Choice Rehab Connections has continued to grow and evolve,” Simms said. “Our focus has remained on delivering exceptional care while building strong relationships and providing therapists with a supportive environment. Looking ahead, we’re focused on expanding our footprint throughout Florida and continuing to invest in both the people and the systems that make our mission possible. It’s been an exciting season of growth — and we’re just getting started.”
