Dr. Tara Sabo-Attwood graciously led our University of Florida Department of Environmental and Global Health for the past decade, driving a positive change in our programs, faculty, staff and student body.

Her fearless leadership led to incredible feats within the department, including doubling the size of its faculty, increasing research funding, creating wellness programs and heightening the rigor and strength of its academics.
In addition to these contributions, Dr. Sabo-Attwood was a passionate supporter of our graduate students as a teacher and mentor.
To honor her hard work and dedication, the EGH department began the Tara Sabo-Attwood Student Development Fund in August 2024. This fund will provide funding for graduate students to cover education-related expenses including travel, meeting registration, training and development opportunities.
At its core, the Tara Sabo-Attwood Student Development fund carries on her legacy, leadership, passion and support for our graduate students.
