This past June, Chris Georgas, an M.P.H. student with a concentration in social and behavioral sciences, presented at the UF College of Medicine’s annual Pediatric Science Day.
Georgas’ work, conducted with the UF Diabetes Institute, focuses on the testing of fecal elastase as a possible predictive biomarker of type 1 diabetes progression in children.
Georgas participates in research in both medicine and public health, and he looks forward to further developing his research interests in both fields in his future career as a physician.
