Alicia Vose, Ph.D., a 2019 graduate of the college’s rehabilitation science doctoral program, an assistant professor of neurology at UF College of Medicine in Jacksonville, and a member of the UF Breathing Research and Therapeutics Center, received second place for her oral platform presentation at the Dysphagia Research Society International Conference March 12-15 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Vose’s presentation was entitled, “Acute Intermittent Hypoxia Improves Laryngeal Vestibule Closure Timing in Chronic Spinal Cord Injury.” Her study was supported by a grant from the Brooks-UF PHHP Research Collaboration.
