Four state universities collaborated recently to gain $10M in funding from the Center for Disease Control for the new Southeast Regional Center of Excellence in Vector-Borne Disease. The center will lead a collaborative research program that will work to prevent the spread of Zika and other diseases from spreading to the United States. EGH Faculty member Dr. John Lednicky is co-leading the Diagnostic & Population health Core (Core 3) of the center.
