Adam Reid, a forth year graduate student in Dr. Geffken’s lab, received a student research award for the second year in a row from the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation for his poster submission titled, “Do SSRI adverse events interfere with multimodal treatment for pediatric Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder?”
This research project provides the first evidence that multimodal treatment of pediatric OCD may be less effective than expected due to the SSRI related side effects that may interfere with the behavioral treatment process. This is one of four research posters Adam and his colleagues had accepted to the conference.
This is the second year in a row Mr. Reid has received this award which provides him with financial support to attend the conference next year.
