Dr. John Lednicky gives talk on airborne virus sampling

Dr. John Lednicky gave a talk entitled “Collection of viable airborne viruses using air samplers” for the Biomedical Education Seminar Series of the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Central Florida, on 7 February 2014. He discussed the concept of aeroplankton, technical difficulties regarding air sampling for viable airborne viruses, and his laboratory’s recent successes and innovations leading to the collection of respiratory syncytial virus, rhinovirus, adenovirus, coronavirus, and influenza viruses from public air spaces.
