Tamekia L. Jones, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics, Colleges of Medicine and Public Health and Health Professions, at the University of Florida. As one of the statisticians for the disease area Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in the Children’s Oncology Group Statistics & Data Center, Dr. Jones is responsible for conducting sample size and power calculations, monitoring ongoing studies, implementing safety rules, and analyzing data from ALL pediatric clinical trials. Dr. Jones’ methodological research interests include clinical trials, survival analysis, group sequential methods, and robust regression. Dr. Jones is also interested in research focused on the reduction, prevention, and elimination of health disparities.
