PHHP IT Team receive HSC Security Shining Star Award
The PHHP Information Technology team, along with Andrea Burne as the college's information security administrator, received the 2009 Security Shining Star Award from Health Science Center SPICE (Security Program for the Information and Computing Environment).
The annual award is presented to the HSC group deserving special recognition for their work in the area of information security. Criteria include technology competency, a good track record of protecting information, teamwork with unit administration, and the ability to be effective security leaders in their unit or college and in the HSC. The PHHP IT team was also recognized for actively communicating security rules and resources among college users, a major factor in the low number of security incidents in the College of Public Health and Health Professions.
IT team members include Philip Chase, manager, and Matt Domin, Geof Gowan, Kevin Hanson, Matt Pickett, Mike Pierri, E.J. Vincent and Mike Wrenne.
