The University of Florida Public Health Student Association has partnered with a number of campus groups to plan a week of events to educate students and the public about the contributions of public health to our communities.

Monday, April 4

MPH Seminar: Internship experiences in Christianville, Haiti

Tuesday, April 5

Healthy Lifestyle and Nutrition Awareness

Public health challenge: Pack your lunch. This will ensure appropriate food portions, and you will save money!

Wednesday, April 6

What is Public Health?” video

Public health challenge: Good health includes social wellbeing. Try to introduce yourself to someone new and build connections.

Thursday, April 7

GatorWell Hut

Public health challenge: Try a new, challenging physical activity.

Friday, April 8

Public Health Day – Project presentations

Public health challenge: Only drink from reusable vessels.

Saturday, April 9

Stop The Stigma – Community outreach event aimed at reducing the stigma of mental illness
12 p.m. to 3 p.m., 7400 SW 41st Place (at Tower Road), Gainesville

Public health challenge: Adopt a constructive way to deal with stress, such as writing in a journal, exercising or discussing problems with a trusted family member or friend.

Sunday, April 10

Framing Nature in Florida Panel Discussion – How we understand and value Florida’s natural environments
