Dell receives American Academy of Audiology scholarship

Shawna Dell, Au.D., a doctoral candidate in the department of speech, language, and hearing sciences, received the American Academy of Audiology’s Academy Research Conference Poster Presentation Scholarship, made available through a conference grant from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders. The scholarship supports Dell’s registration and travel to the Academy Research Conference next month in Boston where she will present her poster on the effectiveness of a hearing conservation program in changing children’s positive attitudes toward noise.

Dell is mentored by Alice Holmes, Ph.D., a professor in the department.
